David has undertaken a wide range of projects in local economic development, economic strategy, regional policy, financial and economic appraisal and economic impact. Clients include Scottish Executive, Highland and Islands Enterprise and Scottish Enterprise, local authorities and organisations.
Key projects include
- Developing the case for European Structural Funds support for Scottish coalfields communities – for the Scottish Coalfields Communities Campaign
- Reviewed the North Highland LEADER+ Programme administrative, monitoring and evaluation systems providing recommendations for future actions – for Highland Council
- Assessing the potential and viability of developing a Portrait of the East Midlands based on its cultural assets – the creation of a new regional identity for MLA East Midlands and Renaissance East Midlands
- Development of an implementation plan for the West Durham Rural Pathfinder, the regional focus for Defra’s Modernising Rural Development national pathfinder programme - for Durham County Council.
